The Whosoevers part two

Over the last couple weeks we have been continuing our promotion of the outreach we will have with the Whosoevers when they come. Plans keep changing but we are just going to go with the flow and take what we can get. Our original plan was to do a presentation in each of the schools in Tagaytay; the city that we have the church as well as the bible college. Our outreach to the schools became harder the closer we got to the event day. All the high schools in Tagaytay told us that because of Covid they were restricting the group events and they couldn't allow us to present there. The only school that was willing to work with us was the city college, however we soon learned that even though the principal said we could that we couldn't actually present without the mayors permission. The mayor however was out of town and won't be back in time to have our presentation at the school. Tagaytay wasn't looking great for outreach opportunities so we moved our scope to the nearby city Talisay. We fist went to the mayors office and soon we were given an open offer to do whatever we want for our outreach. This opened up all the schools there in Talisay as well as the ability to use the gymnasium at the city office building. Talisay so far has been looking great and we will be able to present to more than 5000 students and the corresponding teachers. We found that because of our lack of outreach in Tagaytay we had extra free time that we wanted to make the most use of. Back a month or so ago we took our team over to the island of Marikaban to scout out a possible medical outreach there. Tony our pastor here made contact with the baranguy captain there and opened that up as a possible outreach place. We got the go ahead to move our outreach there with our free days but a couple days ago we got news that there was an oil spill at the harbor there and they won't be able to let us on the island. During this time a member of our church came to us and told us that her uncle is in charge of the skateboard park in Tagaytay and could get us permission to use it for our outreach. We have since made this our main focus for our outreach and we have been spending our efforts promoting an event the at the park. Although we went able to present at the college we did get permission to go class to class and tell the students about his upcoming event. This was a great open door so we canceled class and took our team to the school. We spent our whole day there and were able to reach the entire college and high school there: somewhere around 7000 students.

As well as promoting our event we also took the chance to share the gospel and we able to call up some of the students to receive Christ; something we'd never have been allowed to do in a school at home.

Please continue to keep the outreach in your prayers and pray that we can continue to reach more people to share about the event. Currently we are talking to some rehabs asking if we can come and speak to their people. We have one rehab that would like to send some of their people to come to the skatepark and another that would like us to come and speak there as well as keeping a relationship with them to come back more and continue to share the gospel there. We also went to another school in a different nearby town and they will promote the event for us but we would also like to go class to class there if possible. The more people we can reach the better.

Prayer requests and ways to support

As we continue through the school year more opportunities come up more ministry which puts more on our plates. i believe we could all use prayer for help in these new ministries and that we continue to keep our eyes on God and not try to do it all ourselves.

Recently we have had contact from several people that they would like to come as students to the bible college. pray that God would open the door for each of these people so that they could come and spend a year in Gods word with us and learn what it is like to live a life of ministry.
