This is a short one but we're not done yet. Another opportunity that has come up for our church here is a medical mission in Tingloy on Marikaban island. Similar to the dental mission we previously had we will have a doctor come and provide medical consultations for the people of Tingloy. We recently had the opportunity to scout out the island for a possible location for this to happen and to talk to the baranguy captain to get permission to hold this event. Just getting on to the island wasn't simple, originally we went to the ferries as we normally would but only to learn the island for now is closed off to nonresidents. We thankfully were able to find a private boat that was able to take us there. Once there we took a walk down the coastal road which is the main road of the island.

While we walked around waiting to meet with the captain we talked with some of the people we crossed paths with. The first guy we met already caught the attention of the doctor with us because he needed attention to his eye. After the doctor took a look we were able to share the gospel with the man and a few others that were with him.

Soon we were able to meet with the captain and we received a warm welcome. She was very happy to assist us in the medical mission. After explaining our plan and what we will need she took us around the baranguy to show us where we could hold the event. She showed us a basketball court that we would be able to use when we have this event.

Before we left the basketball court we prayed there for this opportunity and as we walked away a lady came after the pastor to tell him she heard him praying and to tell him she was also a Christian. She explained that there was no Christian church in tingloy and that she would be open to starting a gathering at her house if we would only come back. We talked with the baranguy captain about how to come to the island if it is restricted and she told us that they had a water problem and there was no water because the pipes had burst. She said that if we were able to provide some supplies like a roll of pvc she could call the ferry terminal and grant us passage. This would be an amazing opportunity that we continue to pray for. Over all it was a very positive experience and we will definitely be able to come back for the medical mission and Lord willing intermittently the start a home Bible study. Please keep this opportunity in your prayers.

Prayer requests and ways to support

As we continue through the school year more opportunities come up more ministry which puts more on our plates. i believe we could all use prayer for help in these new ministries and that we continue to keep our eyes on God and not try to do it all ourselves.

Recently we have had contact from several people that they would like to come as students to the bible college. pray that God would open the door for each of these people so that they could come and spend a year in Gods word with us and learn what it is like to live a life of ministry.
